“Through composition, color, and concise decisions, I bring back to its essence the landscape that we all can recognize.”
That is how Laura van Daalen typifies her work. The landscape is a recurring theme in this. Laura creates minimal landscapes through printing and painting, in which only a few characteristics are highlighted. The produced image leaves out certain details and brings composition and color as close together as possible.
In ‘The Minimal Sublime’ it’s about the landscape that can generate a sublime experience with the more minimum.
