My daily life

In a series of drawings, Carolien Wesselink shows images from her daily life. Every day she takes pictures with her phone and starts drawing what she photographs; in this way she dwells longer on the things she has seen and every single moment becomes more important. It motivates her to keep on watching and not to take things for granted.

Carolien gets a lot of inspiration from everyday scenes. She translates these into realistic paintings and drawings. Her message is: think about the beautiful details in things that we usually forget very quickly.
